Who can apply to live at the Oasis?
Families with one child, couples with no children, single-gender sharing for individuals living
on their own at KAUST
Will I receive a new soft pack if I am moving from the community?
Residents moving from the local community will not receive a new soft pack.
Can I move with my existing furniture?
Oasis units are allocated furniture. Residents may move with non-KAUST furniture items and
furniture not required by the
resident may be returned.
What are the typical bed sizes?
The types of bed size in each room is a king size beds (200 by 180 cm).
How much do I pay for rent?
Rental rates are set according to the employment status of the resident at KAUST. Current rental
rates for KAUST residents
are published in the Housing Rent Policy. For other business partners, please refer to your own
employer.
Can I see the actual apartment I will be living in?
All unit types have the same layout and residents are welcome to view our show apartment during
the weekends. Please contact
to find out when the show apartments will be open to the community.
Do all apartments have dedicated outside space?
All ground floor units have terraces and first floor units have balconies.
Can I bring my pet or get a pet once I move?
As detailed in the Guidelines for Ownership of Pets in the Community, pets are not allowed in
apartments.
Can I have a domestic helper?
Domestic helpers cannot be accommodated at the Oasis.
Will the bus service extend to The Oasis?
The Oasis will be incorporated into the existing bus route. Please visit the transportation and
mail page (campus bus service) on the on the Community Life website,

Will I be allocated a parking space?
The parking area is not reserved however, there are ample parking spaces throughout the Oasis.
